CHRISTMAS BAUBLES

Image
I didn't really have time to design and make Christmas cards this year, so I thought it would be better to do baubles instead! I also wanted to buy those Heroes and Celebration boxes just to separate the chocolate :D My idea was that I knew I needed a vertical design so the stickers wouldn't mess up on the bauble's curve, and I thought it would be funny to do a black metal font, since it's quite vertical. Going against the grain, it is legible and boldened/thickened because most of the recipients do not listen to black metal and are not familiar with its aesthetic. Also, I had to work out what is a n acceptable thickness for my CRICUT as you can see there are small little tendrils between the gaps. Some inspirations I took were like, branches for the top, and roots for the bottom. Anything that is joined, I changed the shape so it's bigger on the outside and smaller on the inside. Doesn't it look so cool? Regardless of where it's at in the process. I changed...

TAROT STAMPS

Image
This has been taken from my blog on DeviantArt here . I had some issues with my tarot deck which will be explained at the bottom, possibly copied & pasted verbatim, but the general gist is that they were too large to shuffle for the space I'm in, it was a bit difficult to understand as someone who is learning to read tarot cards, and the designs weren't clear. So I wanted to minimise it design and scale-wise. I should warn that some images may be difficult to see. I used the size and design/art style of stamps as inspiration. To save on resources and minimise waste, I made a reversible design and was left with two sets (': MAJOR ARCANA  MINOR ARCANA    I recognise that I've spelled 'sword; wrong but I'm not going to bother changing it; I'm the only one using this deck (: PROCESS   I got these crafting blades from Kawaii Pen Shop! You can hold them like a normal pen! I peeled off the negative space for one set, then used transfer tape for the other. Also,...

CHRISTMAS ADVENT CALENDAR

Image
I don't know what possessed me to make an Advent calendar; I ended up miscalculating time and resources severely, but it turned out great! It had a bunch of things he liked and needed, so it wasn't too bad (: I bought a bunch of variety packs that totalled under £100 on Amazon and the materials were £36 (minus the CRICUT Joy I used). This project took too long, I really would not recommend unless you start making it in like, November. Each gift bag included: Biscuits Coffee sachet Kinder chocolate Sweethearts Photograph (of us and/or our pets) A pair of fluffy socks Silk scrunchies Stickers Hot Wheels The materials I've used were: Tissue paper Glue sticks Black ribbons Shimmer gold vinyl Gold metallic pen A4 card Hot glue sticks The machines I used were CRICUT Joy and a hot glue gun... I think. If I remembered it correctly. I've become waste-conscious with my crafting projects because they cost a lot of money to make, so a lot of net/designs utilise as much A4 card as p...

CHRISTMAS CARDS

Image
I wanted to create something a bit different to traditional greeting cards, and thought to size them like a playing card or something similar. There were several things I was inspired by, two of which were the red envelopes and horoscope art styles. I started designing them on 11 November 2023 and made them just before Christmas. This blog has been transferred from my deviantart.com/o4311 . From left to right is the envelope I made, the back of the cards, and the front of the cards. Supposed to be like a keepsake trinket (even though they don't really stand up as normal greeting cards do). This blog will mostly be a gallery because, as of writing this in 2026, I don't really remember what I was thinking; probably a lot to say, and I think the history and chronological order of these designs and iterations are pretty self-explanatory (as well as it self-describes how I eventually settled on the designs above).

VALENTINE'S DAY

Image
I'm not averse to greeting cards because I think the gesture means a lot more; it's just I like multi-functional things, and it's what I want to strive for. Valentine's Day has always been my favourite holiday, and I've celebrated it yearly even when I was single. This took me 6 hours to make, and I used card, string, and those self-adhesive foam pads. I think the heart on flames emoji is one of my favourites, and I wanted to celebrate how long we've been together, soon to be my longest relationship yet. This is a mock-up of what I wanted to do. I think at this point, I still had access to Adobe Creative Suite from being a university student, because I definitely did not make this in Krita. It's a little hard to see even when I've added shadows because the whole thing is all-black, but essentially it has the date of when we made it official and one of the first photos we took together (in my phone anyway). These are the templates, notes, and references I...

HEART-SHAPED BOX

Image
I bought some sleepwear from Fenty X Savage to gift to my boyfriend; I'm a long-standing fan of both their lingerie and clothing line, as well as a huge fan of Fenty's foundations, highlighters, and skincare products (as of writing this in 2026). So I wanted to extend my splurge for all things expensive and share it/treat my boyfriend. This blog will be a gallery because I think a lot of the photographs are self-explanatory (also, I just don't have a lot to say lol) THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG & STUDIOS

STORYBOOK

Image
This was inspired by a picture I saw on the internet; it was an illustration of an astronaut and a diver. The story I wrote was, "There was once an astronaut who lived in the nebula With as many opportunities as stars that she can see Always travelling alone, with no place called 'Home', She decided to visit the deep blue sea There lived her male counterpart A diver with an impressive collection of art He had always wondered about the endless possibilities in space And there she stood; the golden ticket to the astronomical place No matter the amount of beauty she saw before His copper brilliance will always outshine the diamond rain No matter the amount of treasure he valued before There was nothing more golden than a woman taking her reign Together, they shared secrets and embarked On a journey somewhere, wherever She took him to the sky to sight-see her favourite stars She traversed through the constellation for more than just Mars She can tell a million stories about wa...

KINDER BOUQUET

Image
I forgot to take pictures of this process, but essentially, I made an artificial bouquet out of paper. Forgive me, I do not have floral arranging skills. I've always wanted a snack bouquet myself, so I decided to give one to my boyfriend, and he loves Kinder chocolate. I stuck everything on the skewer and was careful not to melt the chocolate with my hot glue gun, then each skewer was pierced into a foam pad in the vase, and I... earnestly wrapped the bouquet with tissue paper and ribbon. This wasn't the actual present, though. I bought a Marshall amp Bluetooth speaker thing since we both play guitar, and I hid it in the vase. I just wanted to make a snack bouquet because I felt like it, haha. THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG & STUDIOS

VALENTINE'S DAY

Image
I recycled some shipping boxes by cutting them into a heart-shaped box, painting them all black, lining it with tissue paper, and decorating them with spiral roses. They were put together with a hot glue gun; even the dots are heart-shaped, hehe. The main present was a shirt I designed on Adobe Illustrator (I don't remember where I got the shirt, though). Merch of his cat, stylised in black metal merch. She truly is kvlt with her cow patched coat, hehe. Even shaped like a cow, too! The thing with creating my own box is that I forgot to make an actual lid. Right now, it is just a box with a flat-top lid sort of thing on top; absolutely no security, but who cares? I'm the one delivering it anyway (granted, it was difficult via train because this was so big, I had to work on the floor). THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG & STUDIOS
